Dunnellon Middle School is an AVID (Advancement via Individual Determination) school. We use AVID instructional strategies in all course and curriculum areas to better foster student academic engagement and develop student organizational skills. We offer advanced course offerings at all grade levels in core academic subjects, culminating with our 8th Grade Acceleration Academy. Students in this academy have access to eleven high school courses, including Pre-AP, Spanish I, and 9th Grade Career and Technical courses. We also employ research-based interventions for our non-proficient Reading and Math students, through System 44, Read 180, Study Sync, and Math 180. We also offer several Fine Arts and PE courses.
